To support the development of the aviation industry, the OUHK and China Aircraft Services Limited (CASL) have joined hands to offer a Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering programme principally for CASL base maintenance and line maintenance mechanics. Apart from providing students with further training on aircraft maintenance, the programme also helps prepare them to sit for the Civil Aviation Department’s HKAR–66 Aircraft Maintenance License examinations (Categories A and B1).
An agreement signing ceremony between the University and CASL was held on 28 September 2011. Vice President (Technology & Development) Prof. C M Leung and CEO of CASL Dr Angus H W Cheung signed a collaboration agreement to launch a Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering programme. The ceremony was witnessed by Dean of School of Science and Technology Prof. Ho Kin-chung and Line Maintenance General Manager of CASL Mr Patrick Li.
